PT SK Metalindo (“we”, “us”) collects only the personal data needed to answer enquiries and keep skmetalindo.com working, and does not sell it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

PT SK Metalindo is an engineering and fabrication company in Cikarang, Indonesia, making pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks and expansion joints. We operate the website skmetalindo.com (the “Website”) and are the controller of personal data collected through it.

This policy applies to visitors of the Website and to people who contact us through it. It does not cover our other systems or third-party websites we link to.

2. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information: what you give us through the Contact / Request a Quote form, and technical data collected automatically when you visit.

Information you provide. When you submit the enquiry form we receive your full name, company, work email, phone number, country, subject and message. If you attach a datasheet or drawing, we also receive that file. Please do not include confidential personal details in the message or attachment beyond what is needed for your enquiry. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the details you send us.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Website, our analytics and hosting systems record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring page, approximate location (city or country level) and the date and time of your visit.

Information we do not collect. The Website does not offer user accounts or online payments, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as health, religion or financial account details.

3. How we use your information and why

We use personal data only for the purposes below and process it in line with Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and, where they apply to you, other data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making and do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to or have an existing business relationship with us.

4. Cookies and Google Analytics

The Website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google, to count visits and see how pages are used. GA4 sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier. They store a random ID that recognises your browser, last up to two years, and are used only for statistics.

GA4 also records one action as an event: a successful submission of our enquiry form. This tells us how many enquiries the Website generates. The event does not include what you typed in the form.

GA4 does not store full IP addresses. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use your browser’s private mode, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you using the Website. Some browser cookies needed for the Website to function, such as those used when we log in to manage it, are not used to track visitors.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the following, and only as needed:

These providers may only use the data to provide their services to us.

Transfers abroad. Some providers store or process data outside Indonesia, for example in the European Union, Singapore or the United States. When we transfer personal data abroad we rely on safeguards such as contractual protections and the providers’ security commitments, as the applicable law requires.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting business relationship, and normally no longer than five years after our last contact unless the law requires longer. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. You can ask us to delete your data earlier (see Section 7).

7. Your rights

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal data, and to give you a copy; to correct or update it; to delete it or stop using it; to withdraw consent you have given; and to object to certain uses. You may also complain to the Indonesian data protection authority, or to the authority in your own country. To use any right, email us (Section 10). We will reply within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days, and may need to confirm your identity first.

8. Security

We protect the Website and its data with measures such as HTTPS encryption, a firewall and malware scanning, access limited to authorised staff, regular software updates and encrypted offsite backups. No internet transmission is completely secure, so please share only the information needed for your enquiry. If a breach affects your data we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Children, links and changes

The Website is for business visitors and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data. The Website may link to other websites, such as certification bodies or social media, which have their own privacy policies and for which we are not responsible. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on the Website.
